Electric Company was here today trying to put a Smart Meter on my home. I said Refused to allow him to do so.

I just got a knock on my door.  It appears Smart Meters have come to my area.   I have already called the company in the past, telling them I will never accept a smart meter.  That was a couple of years ago.

Here is a letter I had published last year to send for people to your electrical company, refusing a smart meter.

A man rang my doorbell and when I opened the door, I saw him standing there with a meter in his hand.  I immediately said "If you are here to put a smart meter on my house, I am absolutely refusing to have one put on."

He said "Yes, you are correct, I am here to put a smart meter on your house.  Why don't you want one?"

I wasn't going to start getting into all the 'big brother' reasons.  I did say "They make people sick and people have lots of problems with headaches besides a number of other illnesses from them."  I said there were many other reasons beside that, but it was all he needed to know.  I told him I had called the company in the past and have left messages that under no terms did I want t smart meter on my home, besides sending them written confirmation that I was never to have a smart meter put on my house.

He said "All that is not true and it is just someone in California that has made people afraid of smart meters."

I stood there and just told him again "I will not allow a smart meter to be put on my house!  No matter what you say, I will not allow it."

He began saying it emits less waves than a baby monitor.  Which I said "I don't have a baby monitor and I really don't care.  I will not accept a smart meter."

End result, after him trying to convince me they are just fine and something good, he did not put it on the house.  He said right now, they are allowing people to opt out but they may not in the future.

SO,  I WON today!  I wonder how many people are refusing the smart meters right now?

Are there a lot of other people who have educated themselves about them around here?

Everyone needs to educate themselves and Say NO to Smart Meters!

Here is an organization that has Why you should not have a smart meter on your house, besides many other sites that have information about Smart Meters and how bad they are.

  1. The home owner had exercised his rights in opting out of the Smart Meter installation. The Smart Meter installer pretty much told him the next visit would be a "no refusal", in so many words. Also, the installer would be escorted by the local LEO his next visit. This scenario is happing all over.

  2. It would have to take the whole neighborhood or street he's living on to make a difference. If he has others around him that already have the so-called smart meter installed, then he's already getting the e-smog (that's what I call it). Next time the installer will be coming with a cop, so get set for it!!

  3. I was sent an email stating if I didn't allow a smart meter attached to my home I was going to be charged a $95 deposit and a $13 charge per month for reading the meter. My house and appliances are old, there is an electrical problem in the attic over the garage that crackles, a $400 fix I cannot afford now. I told them to come at the end of May and I was going to turn off all power to the house and if anything blows they will be responsible. My neighbors had a broken smart meter and paid over $1000 for 4 months in the spring here in FL when our bills are less than $80 a month. She didn't get her money back.I
